Barcelona

4th place La Liga

Barcelona have won their opening two games of their Champions League campaign. They hammered Celtic at the Camp Nou in the first game week and will be confident of making it three wins from three against Man City. They have however been beaten twice in La Liga already, against Alaves and Celta Vigo. They are far from water tight at the back and this will give Guardiola hope that his Man City side can cause them all sorts of problems.

Barcelona have kept only three clean sheets in their opening eight La Liga games.

There has been over 2.5 goals scored in six of Barcelona's last seven games.

Luis Enrique has almost a fully fit squad to choose from, only goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen misses out.

1st place Premier League

After an impressive start to the season I think its fair to say that Man City have had a little wobble over the last few weeks. It all started in this competition when City travelled to Celtic Park. Before that journey north Man City had previously blown away everyone they faced. The Scottish Champions were more than a match for Pep Guardiola's men and since then they have been beaten at Spurs and held to a draw at home to Everton.

Man City have failed to keep a clean sheet in their last six away games and have kept only once clean sheet on their travels all season.

There has been over 2.5 goals scored in six of Man City's last seven away games

Pep Guardiola has injury concerns hanging over two players, Bacary Sagna and Fabian Delph both look unlikely to play any part.

Past Meetings

Since Man City's take over back in August 2008 these clubs have faced each other five times. Man City won the first meeting, but that was a friendly back in 2009. The other four meetings were in this competition, Barcelona have won all four.
