NFL Picks Game Week 4

Washington Redskins vs Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles got their first win under their belts last week with a solid enough performance against the Jets. They have yet to really get going this year under Chip Kelly but I do believe we will see them keep improving as the team has time to gel together. This is a massive game in the NFC East and both teams will be going hammer and tong to get the win.

When talking about Washington it is impossible to ignore the fact that they turn over the ball all too often. They have outscored their opponents in terms of yards gained so far but ball security has made them pay on far too many occasions. The Eagles haven’t got the greatest weapons in coverage but when presented with the opportunities that Cousins will give them a couple of key turnovers could be paramount in this encounter.

The Redskins will try and make this game a slug and slow down the Eagles offence, trying to keep them off the field as much as possible. But the running game from Philly did seem to be getting better last week with Ryan Matthews the main man, I expect Murray to come good this weekend like the true great that he is. He has been kept quiet so far this season but it’s impossible to keep a player of his calibre quiet for too long. The win last week will give the Eagles a renewed sense of confidence and I can see them tiring the Washington defence down and maybe running away with the game late on.

There is heavy rain due to a hurricane but the game is expected to be played.

4pt Philadelphia Eagles -3 Handicap @ 1/1

(-4pt)

San Fransisco 49ers vs Green Bay Packers

I couldn’t have been more unimpressed with the 49ers last weekend. No question, I really like what Arizona have done so far this season but they made the 49ers seem like a team of school children and now San Fran will host probably the best team in the league at the moment, the Green Bay Packers.

The only question for Green Bay to answer is the fact that they have to play away after having just played in the Monday Night Football slot but the game against Kansas wasn’t entirely taxing in the physical sense so they should be able to deal with it OK.

The media has given Colin Kaepernick a hard time to say the least over the course of this week and you can understand why but you can’t put the blame on him only, the offensive line gave him little time in the pocket which caused him to make throws that he really shouldn’t be making.

The main worry for San Fransisco though is that they give up so many easy plays on defence. Aaron Rodgers makes good defences look amateur and he will be licking his lips in anticipation for this weekend.

This is a complete mis match and as long as Green Bay don’t let up it’s hard to see anything else but a dominant performance once again.

8pt Green Bay Packers -6.5 Alternative Handicap @ 4/5

(+6.40pt)

I just wanted to mention that Wembley will host the first of their scheduled NFL games this weekend when the New York Jets will face off against the Miami Dolphins. Not the most exciting of match ups but you can most likely expect a close game with field goals and special teams playing a key role. If you fancy a bet I recommended having a play on the Jets via the money line at 5/6.

In the other games here are some recommended bets;

Giants vs Bills - Karlos Williams (Bills RB) anytime touchdown @ 8/15

Panthers vs Buccaneers - Panthers to win money line @ 10/17

Raiders vs Bears - Amari Cooper (Raiders WR) over 82.5 receiving yards @ 5/6

Chiefs vs Bengals - Bengals to win by between 1-6 points @ 16/5

Texans vs Falcons - Under 51 points in total @ 1/2

Jaguars vs Colts - To be added before kick off

Browns vs Chargers - Chargers win -3 points @ 1/2

Vikings vs Broncos - Demaryius Thomas (Broncos WR) anytime touchdown @ 4/6

Rams vs Cardinals - Chris Johnson (Cardinals RB) anytime touchdown @ 5/6

Cowboys vs Saints - Over 40 points in total @ 2/7

Lions vs Seahawks - Seahawks win by 13-18 points @ 15/4
